Jake from Wichita asked, “How cold does it have to get before it’s too cold to paint?”
Larry: “Most top-quality exterior paints are temperature-tolerant down to 35°F. Our crews use an infrared thermometer to check the surface temperature of the painting substrate, and we don’t paint if the surface is below 40°F, because we want to make sure you get a quality paint job. In addition, it’s worth noting that the surface temperature is not always the same as the ambient air temperature. Moreover, the truth is that in colder weather months, the paint may actually cure better than during the heat of summer, so we do paint all year-round.”
